How to Increase Your Organic Traffic Conversion Rate from Bing

How we got a 62% conversion rate from organic traffic from Bing. This is a public service announcement to make sure that you don’t forget about traffic from Bing.

Target keyword “Learning Style Quiz.”

Obviously we’re Growth Skills. We have our Learning IQ video based training platform to teach people SEO, sales, digital marketing and more.

Part of learning is understanding your Learning Style. So we built this quiz to help people figure out their blend of Learning Styles before we try and teach them sales and marketing.

According to Semrush, there are about 5,500 monthly searches for “Learning Style Quiz” in the U.S

Growth Skills does not rank for this term on the first page of Google (yet).
If you check Bing, Growth Skills is in multiple positions on the first page.

The customer journey is as follows.

1. Search “Learning Style Quiz” on Bing. 🔍
2. Find Growth Skills Learning Style Quiz 📄
3. Take the quiz 🎓
4. Submit your name and email to get the results 💸

We know this is happening because we can see what pages people go to
on the website. When you look at the amount of respondents (conversions) for the Learning Style Quiz.

We got over 5 ,000 form fills at a 62 % conversion rate at 8 ,000 views, right?
We built the page two years ago and forgot about it (typical). 🙄

5,000 / 24 months = 208 leads a month.

The point here is SEO is great and web site traffic from Bing should not be overlooked. However, if you are not capturing that demand and turning it in to leads and revenue; then you need to improve your strategy.

This entire process can be replicated for most industries. 🚀

The Lessons are:
1️⃣ Know Your Audience: Doing audience research to understand your target deeper than the keyword level. This will lead to content that solves a problem for them.
2️⃣ Make Useful Content: Make useful content based on what your audience wants (this will make the conversion rate higher than normal) 62% vs whatever the average is.
3️⃣ Don’t Sleep on Bing: Use Bing Webmaster’s Tool and ensure that you are ranking on Bing as much as Google. The traffic from Bing is gold.
